Treasures of the Viking Age exhibition was held at the South Australian Museum from February to July 2025. This was the first opportunity to view this unique archaeological discovery outside Britain.

To celebrate the final weekend, Events & Festivals Australia teamed up with the South Australian Government & the South Australian Museum to host a Viking Festival on Museum grounds.

“Gather your hoard as we celebrate with a vibrant marketplace brimming with medieval-themed delights, entertainment, and activities for the whole family.”

The festival broke museum attendance records and sold out the Treasures of the Viking Age Exhibition for its final weekend.
